About This Role
D2X Labs is building out our AI practice and we need an engineer who can take AI from concept to production — not just build demos, but deliver systems that work in real business environments with real data and real constraints.
You'll work with clients on AI readiness assessments, prototype development, and production implementation. The work spans LLM-powered applications, data pipeline design, and intelligent automation — always grounded in solving an actual business problem, not chasing a trend.
What You'll Do
- Design and build AI-powered solutions for client engagements — from proof of concept through production deployment
- Assess client data readiness and build the data foundations AI needs to actually work
- Develop LLM-based applications, agent systems, RAG pipelines, and intelligent automation workflows
- Translate business requirements into technical AI architecture that's maintainable and scalable
- Help clients understand what AI can and can't do — honestly, without the hype
Who You Are
- 4+ years in software engineering with at least 1-2 years focused on AI/ML applications
- Hands-on experience with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.), vector databases, and retrieval-augmented generation
- Strong Python and/or TypeScript — you ship production code, not just notebooks
- You care about the problem more than the technology — you'll recommend a spreadsheet if that's the right answer
